What are the bandwidths and the formats of the videos?

Videos will be broadcasted in two formats: The formats are Windows Media Video 9 (0,75 Mbps + 1,5 Mbps) und Flash FLV 8/9 (1 Mbps). The resolution of the videos is between 384 x 288 and 720 x 576 pixels.

What are the system requirements?

  • Due to different Hardware configurations, no binding indications can be made. Generally, a computer with a 1,5Ghz processor and a good graphic and sound card is sufficient to watch the high-quality videos.
  • An Internet access with a sufficient bandwidth for the video streams is necessary: minimum 1 Mbps for the small bandwidth and 2 Mbps for the high bandwidth.
  • Security settings must allow cookies.

How can the quality of the videos be improved?

If the system requirements are fulfilled (see previous question) and there are still broadcasting problems, the following can be done:

  • Close other current programs on your computer, particularly those using the Internet or heavy ones like downloads, e-mail, videochat, games, other videos etc.
  • In Windows Media Player you can improve the network buffering under Options (right mouse button), e.g. to 30 or 45 seconds. Here you can also change the video transmission.
  • A WLAN connection is often slower than a LAN connection. If you have problems with your WLAN connection, you can connect your computer directly on the Internet router or better directly on the modem (LAN).
  • Use the lower resolution instead of the high one, in order to stop the possible stutter of sound and image.
  • Install Windows updates and current graphic card drivers on your computer.

What to do, when the streams are not starting?

  • Verify if the Internet connection is working by opening a new page.
  • Reboot your computer, particularly with Windows
  • Your connection is maybe working with a proxy (like a temporary storage for the Internet access, which is often used for big networks) and/or with a firewall. In order to change the settings of your proxy, please ask your Internet provider or your network administrator. Enabling the related ports of your firewall is possible in the settings of your DSL router. The appropriate ones are: 1935, 443, 80

Can the video be watched in full screen?

Yes.

Windows Media Player

  • As soon as the video starts, right click on the video and choose in the menu "Zoom" -> "full screen".
  • In order to stop the full screen mode, simply press on the Esc button, or right click and choose "End full screen".
Flash Player
  • In the bottom of the player, in the control elements, click on the button Full screen. With the button Esc you can stop the full screen mode.

What are the different payment possibilities?

You can pay your Triathlonlive.tv deposit by using a credit card (MasterCard, Visa Electron, Visa, American Express) or by electronic direct debit payment ("ELV").

Is it possible to download the different races and other videos?

Downloading of video files is not permissible. According to the "Terms and Conditions" users are prohibited to copy, reproduce, download, store, forward, distribute, sell or use for commercial intentions the content of Triathlonlive.tv.

Is it possible to watch the videos on demand after the events?

All the races will also be available on demand, in the archives. They are available under the tab "VOD".

What are the programs available and the prices of the packages?

For all the following possibilities, you have to be registered before watching and/or buying a package.

  • You can watch the live races for free in low quality after registration with validated email. Short highlights of the races in low quality will also be available for free after registration with validated email.

  • A "Season pass" costs 24,99 EUR. It includes all the following streams and videos for the whole season:
    • All races live and on demand in high quality with athletes' data (heart rates and timings) and live chat.
    • All highlights on demand in high quality.
    • All 52-minutes shows after the races in high quality.
    • All the special videos and extra features (interviews, portraits...) in high quality.

  • An "Event pass" costs 5,99 EUR. It includes the live coverage of one race and the access to all other videos during one week:
    • One chosen race live and on demand in high quality with athletes' data (heart rates and timings) and a live chat.
    • Highlights of the chosen race and the previous ones on demand in high quality.
    • The 52-minutes show after the chosen race in high quality All the special videos and extra features (interviews, portraits...) in high quality.

How can I cancel my subscription?

Account changes are to be complete by e-mail to info@triathlonlive.tv. Subscriptions cannot be reimbursed, as soon as a race or a video is played and viewed.

Important: Extensions of subscriptions are not automatic.

Is it possible to watch the service from different computers?

Yes, the service is also available from different computers. However, the simultaneous use on multiple computers with one login is not possible.

The transfer of the login data to third parties is not permitted.

You did not receive the confirmation e-mail after your registration to Triathlonlive.tv?

First check if the confirmation e-mail was filtered as a spam or if your e-mail address was incorrect spelt. You can then contact info@triathlonlive.tv.

What are the steps required to be able to watch Triathlonlive.tv races and videos?

  • You have to register on Triathlonlive.tv with your e-mail address, password and your date of birth.
  • For premium services you can pay your deposit on your Triathlonlive.tv account (see above).
  • According to the amount of your deposit, you are able to buy and watch event or season passes.
Attention: for the steps 2 and 3, you must be logged in!

You are not able to log in even after receiving the confirmation email?

After receiving the confirmation e-mail, the process is still not finished. You have to click on the first link in order to complete your account. Input your password and save your profile.
