Welcome to round three of the ITU World Cup Circuit. This month we travelled deep into the heart of America's Midwest ? West Des Moines, Iowa, for the HY-VEE Triathlon Elite Cup and ITU Triathlon Team World Championship. While they may not be owners of the scenic streets of Europe nor the impressive architecture of Washington D.C., the beauty of this land is slighly more subtile, and what they proudly showcase has always been All-American ? from the cornfields to the state band championships. But for the third time running, triathlon has come to town, and when it comes here? it is guaranteed to be just as shiny and spectacular as the original American Dream.
